A bouquet of flowers, a fruit basket, a fire in the fireplace Bonjour, my name is Marianne,.

Inasmuch as I had worked several years in the Lure Tourist Office, I felt like creating tourist accommodation in our old dairy farm, in the peaceful hamlet called “Grange de la Vigne”.

Since the last century, my husband’s family successively exploited lime and dairy farming.. Attachment to our family motivated everyone here to lend a hand to give a new life to these old buildings full of character. It’s with great pleasure that we have our holiday guests visit the vestiges of lime kilns, while relating the site’s history, or the lives of our ancestors, cheese-makers who had come from Switzerland.

 

Being married to a farmer gave me the opportunity of taking a course organised by the Chamber of Agriculture in “ the art of hosting in rural areas”. Thence, I participated in other “ Tourism in rural areas” vocational training courses , organized by the departmental Committee of Tourism, the Federation of Gïtes de France of the Haut-Saône and also by the “Boutique de Gestion” (creation of enterprises) in Besançon.

Being of German-speaking Swiss origin and speaking several languages, welcoming holidaymakers from all places, helps me to make very interesting and friendly encounters, which I enjoy.

 

This also gives me the opportunity to exchange ideas and work with others who involve themselves in rural tourism, while sharing pleasant moments together, be it within our Association: “Amies en Franche-Comté” or as a member of the Lure Tourist Office or of the network: Gites de France.
